Federal Judge Blocks Request for Information on Efforts to Repatriate Abrego Garcia to the U.S.

A federal judge has put a temporary hold on an order that required the Trump administration to share information about retrieving a man mistakenly deported to El Salvador. Lawyers for Abrego Garcia agreed to a seven-day pause, which allows the administration more time to respond to the judge’s demands. On the other hand, Drew Ensign, a deputy assistant attorney general, sought to delay giving updates and testimony related to Abrego Garcia’s case, citing potential concerns about state secrets.
