HENDERSON, Tenn. — Adam Cross has stepped into a new role as the associate vice president for university advancement at Freed-Hardeman University (FHU). After six years as the regional development director, he’s ready to lead the university’s fundraising efforts and support strategic growth initiatives.
Cross has a strong track record at FHU. Senior Vice President Dave Clouse noted that he has excelled in building relationships with donors and leading his team effectively. His experience helps foster a supportive community that cares about the university’s mission.
A proud FHU graduate from 2007, Cross began his journey with the development team in 2019. His work includes connecting with donors across West Tennessee, North Mississippi, Western Kentucky, and Missouri, and he played a significant role in events like the FHU Benefit Dinner and the FHU NEXT Capital Campaign. He finds joy in helping families create scholarships to honor their loved ones.
In his new position, Cross is enthusiastic about continuing to serve FHU and its community. He expressed gratitude for the mentorship he received from university leaders and emphasizes the importance of teamwork in achieving goals.
Fundraising remains a priority for Cross as he works alongside university leaders to push forward with the FHU NEXT Campaign. This campaign aims to transform the FHU campus, and its success relies on the dedication of the team and the generous support from donors.
FHU’s mission is clear: to help students nurture their talents for a greater purpose through an education that blends faith, scholarship, and service. With campuses in Henderson and Memphis, the university offers a broad range of degrees to empower its students.
