Kimberly Burch, the fiancée of Faster Pussycat’s lead singer, Taime Downe, tragically passed away after falling overboard during a cruise. The cruise, themed around 80s nostalgia, was set to feature the band in performance.
According to her mother, Carnell Burch, Kimberly fell from the ship after an argument with Downe. The exact circumstances of the fall are still under investigation, and further details are not yet available.
On social media, Kimberly’s family expressed their heartbreak. They shared, “It is with broken hearts that we share the sad news that Kimberly Burch has passed away. She was a cherished daughter, sister, and aunt, and she will be greatly missed.” They urged for prayers as they navigate this difficult time.
The seven-day cruise began in Miami and was scheduled to return shortly after. Reports indicate that the incident occurred about 20 miles from Freeport, Bahamas.
In response to the tragedy, a spokesperson for Royal Caribbean commented, “Our crew immediately launched a search and rescue effort and is cooperating with local authorities. We are providing support to the family during this difficult time and respect their privacy.”
