Fitness Center Owner Caught in Drug Trafficking Scandal: Pleads Guilty in Shocking Case!

In Humboldt, Tennessee, a local business owner has admitted to a serious crime: selling drugs from a fitness center that used to be a Walmart. Joseph Brian Moss, the owner of Humboldt Fitness LLC, took a plea deal in Circuit Court after being charged with possession of a Schedule I drug with the intent to sell.

District Attorney Frederick Agee revealed that Moss has been allegedly selling steroids for several years right out of this building on North Central Avenue.

This investigation began with a raid in July 2023. The US Postal Service and the West Tennessee Drug Task Force found evidence of drug sales at the fitness center during their search.

Moss is currently facing additional charges stemming from his arrest in September 2024. Agee mentioned that there may be ongoing federal investigations into Moss’s activities.

The court has placed Moss on six years of probation. As part of his sentence, he must forfeit the fitness center, over $150,000 in cash, and all his firearms to the Drug Task Force. He also has to complete a therapy program, submit to drug testing, maintain steady employment, and cooperate in future criminal investigations.

Agee emphasized the importance of this case, stating that it serves as a warning to those involved in illegal drug activities. The community is being put on notice: illegal drug sales won’t be tolerated.

Moss has been given 60 days to leave the premises of the fitness center.
