Cam’Ron Fletcher Shines Again for High Point University

Cam’Ron Fletcher of the High Point University men’s basketball team has been recognized as the Big South Player of the Week for the second time this season. Last week, he played a huge role in helping the Panthers secure three wins and clinch the Boardwalk Battle Championship title. This victory marks High Point’s first MTE win since 2022.

Fletcher had an impressive performance, averaging 19 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game. His shooting efficiency was remarkable, hitting 62.5% of his shots. He went 20-for-32 from the field, 5-of-13 from three-point range, and was perfect at the free-throw line, making all 12 attempts. Notably, he set a career-high with 27 points in the first game of the Boardwalk Battle, shooting an outstanding 75%. In the championship game, he recorded his third double-double of the season, scoring 18 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.

Currently, Fletcher is making waves in the Big South Conference. He averages 18.71 points per game, placing him second in scoring and maintaining a shooting percentage of 62%. He also ranks fourth in the league and 22nd nationally for rebounds, averaging 8.14 per game. With three double-doubles, he trails only Brycen Blaine of Charleston Southern, who has four.

As the Panthers prepare to face Western Carolina at the Qubein Center on November 29, fans are eager to see if Fletcher will continue his excellent form.
