LONDON (AP) — Recent U.S. and Israeli actions against Iran are causing major disruptions in air travel across the Middle East.
Countries like Israel, the UAE, and Qatar closed their airspace. Southern Syria also restricted access. This means flights to popular destinations like Tel Aviv and Dubai were forced to turn around or land elsewhere.
Dubai International Airport, one of the busiest in the world, halted all flights indefinitely. This closure not only affects Emirates but also impacts many other airlines operating in and out of Dubai.
Emirates announced a temporary suspension of its flights, while Qatar Airways canceled its services to and from Doha due to the airspace restrictions. KLM had previously decided to stop its flights to Tel Aviv starting Sunday.

British Airways suspended flights to Tel Aviv and Bahrain until next week, while United Airlines diverted flights that were already on their way to Tel Aviv and Dubai. They have also issued waivers for passengers wanting to change their flights without penalties.
Turkish Airlines has announced cancellations for flights to Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and Jordan, with potential additional cancellations coming soon.
