The No. 13 Florida State swimming and diving team is gearing up for the Bulldog Invitational Last Chance Meet. This event takes place from February 28 to March 1 at the Gabrielsen Natatorium in Athens, Georgia.
The meet lasts two days, starting with prelims at 10 a.m. ET. Finals will be held at 5 p.m. on Saturday and 4 p.m. on Sunday. On Saturday, swimmers will compete in various events, including the 200 freestyle relay and the 50 freestyle. Sunday features the 400 medley relay and the 1650 freestyle, among others.
Competing against Florida State will be strong teams such as No. 7 Georgia, No. 18 South Carolina women, Howard, and Georgia Tech. The Seminoles are looking to beat their season-best times and secure spots in the NCAA Championships in March.
Key swimmers for Florida State include seniors Tommaso Baravelli, Sam Bork, Sarah Evans, and Julia Mansson. They are joined by sophomores Mathias Christensen, Fred Lindholm, Daniel Listor, and freshmen Lucy Porter and Ioana Stirbu.
This meet follows an impressive performance at the ACC Swimming and Diving Championships where Florida State set 10 program records and brought home two golds, three silvers, and two bronzes. These achievements reflect a strong season and build momentum heading into the NCAA Championships.
