The Florida State men’s golf team is gearing up for the Valspar Collegiate Invitational on March 23-24 at the Floridian National Golf Club in Palm City, Florida. This event will feature 15 teams, with 13 ranked in the GCAA top 25 or receiving votes. Notably, 32 players in the World Amateur Golf Rankings are among the top 100.
Recently, FSU had a strong showing at the Seminole Intercollegiate, finishing as the only team under par at 8-under. Tyler Weaver, ranked 10th in the world among amateurs, took second place with a solid 6-under performance, marking his 10th career top-10 finish.
Florida State has a solid history at the Valspar Invitational with 10 appearances, securing six top-three finishes and victories in 2016, 2021, and 2024. In the latest event, they finished third, driven by strong performances from Luke Clanton and Jack Bigham, who both placed in the top 15.
The tournament kicks off with 36 holes on Monday starting at 8:30 a.m., followed by 18 holes on Tuesday, also starting at 8:30 a.m.
