Support Local: Food Trucks and Small Businesses at the Valley Pavilion
The Valley Local is excited to welcome food trucks and small businesses to showcase their offerings. Spots are open for January and possibly February, giving flexibility to reserve daily or for longer periods. Interested vendors can apply here.
Sara Crutchfield, the Director of the Valley Local, shared her vision. “I want to help local business owners connect with customers,” she said. “This space can act as their storefront.”
She explained that there are specific limits: five food trucks and seven other businesses will be accepted each day. Businesses must have a city of Valley business license and a Chambers County business license to participate.
Crutchfield hopes these pop-up opportunities will encourage small vendors. “I want them to get so many customers that they realize they could open a permanent shop here,” she added. The goal is to demonstrate community support for local businesses, encouraging them to turn their dreams into reality.
On social media, local vendors have voiced their excitement about this new opportunity. Crutchfield noted, “They’re thrilled to have a central spot on Highway 29. It’s tough to find places to set up without asking other businesses for permission.” This location allows them to reach more customers easily.
Supporting local vendors is vital for the community. Many small businesses give back by hiring locals and sourcing ingredients nearby. According to a recent survey, communities that actively support local businesses see an increase in overall economic stability. Buying from local vendors can create a ripple effect that benefits everyone.
As you go about your day, keep an eye out for these vibrant food trucks. “If you see them at the pavilion, take a moment to stop by,” Crutchfield encouraged. “These businesses are part of our community and need our support to thrive.”
