Kaneria mentioned, “Pakistan may be my Janmabhoomi (birthplace), but Bharat, the land of my ancestors, is my matrubhumi. For me, Bharat is like a temple.” He also referenced the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), which provides a pathway to citizenship for certain religious minorities from neighboring countries.

His comments come amid increasing attention on his social media posts, where he praised India’s Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
