Fortnite Players Set to Claim Over $126 Million in FTC Refunds – Find Out How!

Players of Epic Games’ popular game, "Fortnite," will receive over $126 million in refunds due to unauthorized charges made while playing. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) announced this latest round of refunds on Wednesday, bringing the total refunds related to its case against Epic to nearly $200 million.

In December 2022, Epic agreed to pay $245 million to settle the FTC’s claims. They were accused of using misleading tactics that tricked players into making unwanted purchases.

The FTC previously issued about 629,344 payments to "Fortnite" players in December 2024, totaling more than $72 million. In this new round, they plan to send out nearly 969,173 checks and payments via PayPal between June 25 and June 26. Players who filed valid claims can expect their refunds soon.

To claim their refund, players had a choice of payment methods. The FTC recommends that those receiving checks should cash them within 90 days, while PayPal users should redeem payments within 30 days.
