Fox News Media is venturing into the wine business. They recently launched the Fox News Wine Shop, an online store offering American-made wines sourced from independent producers, including military veterans. This initiative is in partnership with Direct Wines and is live at FOXNewsWineShop.com.
The shop features three main areas:
- An online marketplace where shoppers can explore curated bottles from various regions.
- The Fox News American Wine Club, which delivers nine hand-picked bottles every eight weeks.
- The USA 250 collection, launching with Liberty Sparkling in honor of America’s 250th birthday in 2026.
Jason Klarman, Fox News Media’s chief digital and marketing officer, said this idea came from a desire to offer more lifestyle products to their audience. He noted that many viewers enjoy purchasing and consuming wine, making this venture a natural fit.
Moreover, a portion of sales will help the nonprofit U.S. VETS, which addresses veteran homelessness, and donations will support independent wineries. Klarman emphasized their commitment to championing veterans and small business stories.
This wine shop signals Fox’s effort to diversify beyond traditional news. In recent years, the company has explored lifestyle projects, including its streaming service, Fox Nation. Klarman highlighted that Fox aims to go beyond news, showcasing entertainment and lifestyle content that resonates with their audience.
Fox’s approach mirrors a broader trend in media, where companies are seeking revenue through lifestyle and consumer ventures. The success of Fox-branded wine will depend on whether viewers embrace this new offering as much as they did with other Fox ventures. It’s a gamble, but one that reflects evolving consumer preferences and the chance to connect more deeply with their audience.
