Portland Falls to Oregon in Dual Matches
On Friday, the Portland Pilots faced off against Oregon in two competitive dual matches but fell short, losing both 4-1 at home. Despite the losses, the team showed spirit and determination.
Leonie Freytag and Elin Larsson were standout players for the Pilots, securing the team’s only points. In the first match, they triumphed at No. 2, defeating the Oregon duo of AJ Slojkowski and Josie Griffiths with a score of 21-16, 21-15. They followed up with another solid performance in the second match, facing Liz Rossi and Bella Gamache. This time, Freytag and Larsson battled through a tough three-set match and won 21-23, 21-18, 17-15, showcasing their resilience in tight situations.
