Kyle and Christina Urrutia, who moved from Wisconsin to the Gulf Coast during the pandemic, plan to open their new spot at 8887 Grand Bay Wilmer Road, targeting a mid-January launch. They’re thrilled to expand their menu beyond smashburgers, which will still remain a staple. Diners can expect choices from single patties to four-patty stacks. Some standout options are the “Alabama Carnivore,” loaded with pork belly and Conecuh sausage, and the “Alabama Lightning,” which has creamy white American cheese, grilled onions, pickles, and white barbecue sauce.

The new kitchen also allows them to introduce a variety of chicken sandwiches, like the spicy “Gates of Hell Chicken Sandwich,” featuring Carolina reaper cheese and ghost pepper honey sauce. Plus, Chicago-style hot dogs and Polish sausage dogs will return after being sidelined by the burger craze.

Once the restaurant opens, Kyle says they’ll focus primarily on it, but there’s good news for food truck fans. A bigger Frank N Lola’s trailer is in the works and should be seen at local events in 2026.
