Cheeserie, a popular food truck that started in 2021, is making big moves. After finding success at The Flagship City Food Hall, they are set to open two more locations. The new spots will be at the old Donato’s on East 38th Street and in the food court of Millcreek Mall.
All locations will offer the same tasty menu. This includes burgers, salads, subs, and delicious pulled-pork macaroni and cheese, which is their top seller. However, don’t expect Philly cheese steaks at the mall; another restaurant there holds that exclusivity.
Owner Kalea Anderson, who has 15 years of food service experience, shares that the East 38th Street spot is almost ready to go. It just needs a few pieces of equipment, and they plan to open on March 1. The Millcreek Mall location is facing some delays due to repairs needed in the space. Originally scheduled to open on Black Friday, it now looks to be ready by April or May.
Anderson understands that repairs take time, especially with many projects happening at the mall. Her new space will need some essential installations, like a hood system and hand-wash sinks, before they can serve customers.
In addition to dine-in options, Cheeserie is also rolling out a catering service. Their catering menu features favorites from the restaurant, including wings. Customers must place orders 48 hours in advance, with a delivery fee of $10.
Meanwhile, they are running a promotion at the food hall offering $5 burgers on Wednesdays, which has turned a slow day into the most popular day of the week. Anderson hopes this encourages repeat guests to come back and explore other menu items.
Cheeserie continues to grow, bringing delicious food to more places while expanding their menu and catering options. With their successful start and plans for growth, fans can look forward to enjoying their hearty meals in even more locations soon.
