From Reality TV to R&R: How a Former ‘Bachelorette’ Star Embraced Family Life in Nashville After Leaving Hollywood Behind

Ali Fedotowsky-Manno has embraced her decision to leave Los Angeles for a quieter life. The former star of “The Bachelorette” shared her thoughts on the change during an episode of Savannah Chrisley’s podcast, “Unlocked.”

At 40, Ali looked back on her journey. She first gained attention as a contestant on “The Bachelor” and later became the lead on “The Bachelorette.” Although her engagement to Roberto Martinez didn’t last, she found lasting love with radio host Kevin Manno. The couple tied the knot in March 2017 and now have two children.

“We were busy in LA, both working in entertainment—my husband on radio and I with Hallmark Channel,” she explained. “But I reached a point where I said to my agent, ‘I’m done. I want to move to Nashville and have a quiet life with my family.’”

Curious about her decision, Chrisley asked what made Ali leave Hollywood behind. Ali candidly shared her feelings about the cutthroat nature of the entertainment industry. “There’s a lot of bullying that people don’t see,” she said, adding that the negativity became overwhelming. “I was just so over it.”

However, Ali learned that similar challenges exist everywhere. “There’s always some social hierarchy in any group,” she reflected. Despite this, she and her family have grown to love Nashville. There is one aspect she misses about Los Angeles, though. “In the fall, I drive around and see the beautiful trees and think, ‘Wow, it’s so lovely here!’ But I struggle with allergies, which can be tough.”

Chrisley nodded in agreement, mentioning how crazy the allergies can be. Ali shared her ongoing battle with her allergy issues, mentioning all the treatments she’s tried. “I’ve seen chiropractors, tried acupuncture, and even local honey,” she said. “This weekend, I’m getting a lymphatic facial massage to see if that helps.”

Despite her efforts, Ali admitted she hasn’t tried surgery for her deviated septum yet. For now, she remains committed to finding ways to enjoy her life in Nashville while managing her allergies.
