MARTIN, Tenn. — In a recent equestrian showdown, South Carolina dominated South Dakota State with a score of 12-3. The Gamecocks showcased their strength, particularly in jumping seat events, winning 12 out of 13 points.
Juliana Gullo, a standout senior from Itasca, Illinois, grabbed two points for South Dakota State. She won her flat match against Kenley Koch with a score of 78-75. Gullo also impressed with a victory in the fences event, scoring 79 against Natalie Jayne.
Freshman Heidi White delivered solid performances in both jumping seat events. Although she lost narrowly—scoring 84 in fences and 79 in flat—her promising talent shined through.
Emma Riggs secured the Jackrabbits’ only point in reining as she topped Mattie McNeil with a score of 71.5 to 69.5. Meanwhile, Adisyn Kuxhaus managed to tie with Olivia Cardi at 70.
In the horsemanship category, South Carolina swept all four points. Hailey Hanson achieved the Jackrabbits’ best score in this event with a score of 74.
Looking ahead, South Dakota State will wrap up its fall season on November 22 against Minnesota Crookston.
