This includes a notice about the limitations of generative AI, an option to allow Gemini to use personal data, and a user-friendly interface for selecting voices.

Interestingly, these voices are linked to Google’s earlier models, creating a consistent experience across devices. In September 2024, Google updated the voice list on mobile, while changes to speaker voices were made as recently as August 2023.

While this may seem like a small update, experts think AI assistants are becoming increasingly important in our daily lives. A recent survey showed that 65% of people prefer engaging with voice assistants rather than typing. This shows the potential for Gemini to play a major role in our home entertainment systems.

Currently, Gemini seems to be in a testing phase on Google TV. There have been reports of unfinished elements, like outdated logos in use.
