Gemini in Chrome is expanding its reach! After a successful launch in the US, it’s now available in Canada, India, and New Zealand, and it supports over 50 languages.
You can easily launch Gemini from various spots in your browser: the top-right corner, keyboard shortcuts, or the Mac menu. It appears either as a floating window or a side panel next to your current tab.
One cool feature is the ability to pull prompts from your open tabs (up to ten). Gemini can connect with Google services like Calendar, Docs, Drive, Maps, YouTube, and even Gmail, allowing you to send emails right from the side panel.
There’s also a handy tool called Nano Banana 2. It lets you edit images without the hassle of uploading files or switching tabs.
On the security side, Gemini takes precautions. It asks for confirmation before sending emails or adding events to your calendar, making your actions safer.
Here’s the full list of supported languages: Afrikaans, Amharic, Bulgarian, Bengali, Catalan, Czech, Danish, German, English (UK and US), Greek, Spanish, Estonian, Basque, Finnish, Filipino, French, Galician, Gujarati, Hindi, Croatian, Hungarian, Indonesian, Icelandic, Italian, Japanese, Kannada, Korean, Lithuanian, Latvian, Malayalam, Marathi, Malay, Dutch, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil and Portugal), Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Slovenian, Serbian, Swedish, Swahili, Tamil, Telugu, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, Vietnamese, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional).
Gemini is compatible with Chromebook Plus, Mac, Windows, and now it’s even accessible through iOS browsers.
As tech continues to advance, tools like Gemini reflect the growing integration of AI in our everyday tasks. According to a recent report by Statista, 63% of users say they are eager to explore AI features in their digital tools. This trend suggests that people are finding ways to work smarter, not harder.
With these new updates, Gemini in Chrome not only makes life easier but also highlights how technology is evolving to fit our needs.
