The University of Georgia women’s golf team finished in fourth place at the FAU Paradise Invitational held at Osprey Point Golf Course, finishing at 4-over par.
Here are some highlights from the event:
- Freshman Trinity Beth impressed with her tournament debut, scoring five birdies and finishing 16th at even par.
- Redshirt junior Karoline Tuttle finished 7th overall with a tournament score of 2-under, although she shot 2-over in the final round.
- Sophomore Sydney Givens shot a solid 1-under in the last round, placing 25th at 3-over.

As a team, the Bulldogs shot 1-over in the final round, trailing behind No. 24 Tennessee at -10, Kentucky at -6, and Clemson at -3.
Head Coach Erika Brennan expressed confidence in her team’s performance: “Despite adversity, they stayed in the fight all the way to the finish! KT had a great event, and Trinity had an awesome debut. This team is capable of achieving in any field, and we know our best golf is coming into focus.”
This gathering of young talent is significant, especially as more schools invest in their women’s golf programs. According to a recent survey by the National Golf Foundation, women’s participation in golf increased by 30% over the past decade. As these young athletes compete at high levels, they inspire more women to take up the sport, creating a positive cycle of growth.
In a world where women’s sports continue to gain traction, events like the FAU Paradise Invitational highlight the progress being made. The Bulldogs represent a new generation that challenges the status quo and pushes for recognition in competitive fields.
