Nebraska Extension is set to host several ServSafe® Food Handler training courses throughout the Nebraska Panhandle in 2026. These half-day sessions are perfect for food service workers looking to boost their food safety skills. The ServSafe Food Handler program aims to minimize the risk of foodborne illnesses, enhance sanitation practices, and build trust with customers.
During the training, participants will receive clear, practical guidance on essential food safety topics. Key areas covered include personal hygiene, avoiding cross-contamination, managing allergens, and proper cleaning techniques. Each session concludes with a proctored test, allowing participants to finish their training and assessment in one go.
The trainings will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and cost $40 per person, which includes all training materials and the Food Handler test.
