CHAMPAIGN — Get ready for a good laugh! The 26th edition of Ebertfest will end with a bang by showcasing the comedy classic, “The Hangover.” This hilarious film made Roger Ebert laugh out loud, and now it’s your turn to enjoy it.
Scheduled for April 26, the screening will take place at the Virginia Theatre. “The Hangover,” released in 2009, is known as the highest-grossing R-rated comedy ever. It features a stellar cast, including Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, and Zach Galifianakis.
Scott Budnick, one of the film’s executive producers, will be there to engage with the audience. After the screening, he’ll answer questions, so it’s a perfect chance to dive deeper into this groundbreaking comedy.
Roger Ebert praised “The Hangover,” giving it three and a half stars. He found it “funny all the way through,” with each scene packed with humor. Ebert said, “Every situation is funny. Most of the dialogue is funny almost line by line.” His enthusiasm for the film truly reflects its charm.
