Scott Pilgrim fans have something to look forward to! Tribute Games is partnering with Universal and creator Bryan Lee O’Malley to launch a new video game called Scott Pilgrim EX. It’s set to release on multiple platforms, including the Nintendo Switch, in early 2026.
This game promises to breathe new life into the beloved universe. Players will take on the roles of Scott Pilgrim, Ramona Flowers, and other characters to fight enemies in a surreal Toronto filled with demons, vegan henchmen, and robots.

Players can expect hard-hitting combat and vibrant graphics as Scott Pilgrim EX redefines 2D brawling for a new generation. Each of the seven characters will come with a complete move set from the get-go, but players will be able to customize their gaming experience through upgrades. Additionally, the game includes a fresh storyline co-written by O’Malley and the Tribute team, along with new music from Anamanaguchi.
Returning to enhance the gaming experience, Anamanaguchi will mix 8-bit sounds with energetic rock. Pixel artist Paul Robertson will collaborate with the Tribute team for character animations, while Ben David Grabinski, director of the Scott Pilgrim Takes Off series, will serve as a creative consultant.
