When we think of award shows, we often picture fancy, expensive meals. But the 2025 Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG Awards) are taking a different approach. This year, the focus is on tasty twists of comfort food like pizza and fried chicken.
Chef David Chang, who has a Michelin star, shared insights about the menu. He mentioned it’s different this time because of the venue’s cooking limitations. “Let’s make this fun and fresh,” he said.
So what can attendees expect? The cocktail hour features sliders with honey butter and chips. For the main course, there’s pulled fried chicken served with kimbap, a Korean rice roll.
And for dessert? The pizza finale will be crafted by Chef Chris Bianco, known for making some of the best pizza around. He has designed a special pizza just for the occasion, paired with a surprise that will be revealed during the event.
