The holidays are here! It’s a great time to explore everything happening in the Grand Valley. There are new restaurants to check out, special menus, and festive events galore. As many food trucks close for the season, it’s a good idea to support your favorites while they’re still open. Also, remember that restaurant hours may vary during this busy time. Base Camp Beer Works is hosting a “Holiday Maker’s Market” today from noon to 4 p.m. It’s located at 2575 Highway 6 & 50, near American Furniture Warehouse. Enjoy delicious food from food trucks 505 Fix and Base Camp Street Eats while sipping craft beers and shopping for unique gifts created by local artists.

Devil’s Kitchen will offer a special prix-fixe menu on December 25, featuring a starter, main course, two sides, and dessert for $80 per person. They’ll be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Make sure to call for reservations or check their website at Devil’s Kitchen. Located next to Colorado Mesa University at 840 Kennedy Ave, it’s a cozy spot with a unique dining experience on their patio adorned with snow globes and ski lifts.

Have you seen the holiday lights in Downtown Grand Junction? They look stunning! It’s a lovely place to dine and shop for last-minute gifts. If you’re in the mood for something sweet, check out the newly opened Fruita Gelato Company at 156 Park Square. Their mission is to be a neighborhood gathering spot for everyone to enjoy some fun and delicious treats.

This afternoon, the Spoke & Vine Motel in Palisade hosts a holiday market from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Expect handcrafted items, food, and a joyful atmosphere. The Little Pink Truck will serve tasty food, making it a great spot for presents and holiday cheer.

The Shriner’s New Year’s Eve Dance will be at the Western Colorado Shrine Club, located at 2400 Consistory Court. Join for an evening filled with music and dancing. Tickets are available online for $7 to $13.

Additionally, Sinaloa Grill has opened a new Mexican restaurant at 2886 North Ave, serving an array of dishes, including seafood and sushi.

Snooks Bottom Barbecue is gearing up for a New Year’s Eve comedy show and barbecue dinner. Tickets, including dinner, an open bar, and a champagne toast, are available online for $137. The event is set for December 31, from 7 to 10:30 p.m. at 21½ Road.

The new The Bread Mine bakery in Fruita is now open on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. You’ll want to try their amazing baked goods.

WestCo Brewery has opened in the former Edgewater Brewery spot at 905 Struthers Ave. Their menu features a mix of dishes like pulled pork gyoza and smoked trout dip, along with several unique options. Open daily at 11 a.m., it’s definitely worth a visit.

Whitewater Hill Vineyards will also throw a “Cleanse It With Fire” New Year’s Eve party from 3-6 p.m. on December 31. Enjoy fire pits, s’mores, and wine as you welcome the New Year at 2203 32 Road.

Lastly, a new sushi restaurant named Yoshi Sushi has opened at 2695 Patterson Road, near The Ale House. If you’re a fan of sushi, this spot is from the same owners as the popular Sumo Sushi, so be sure to give it a try.
