They are launching CookieRun: New World, an open-world adventure game set in the beloved CookieRun universe, which has captivated over 300 million players and generated $1 billion in revenue. This new title will hit consoles, PCs, and mobile devices in 2029, just in time for the franchise’s 20th anniversary.
Built using Unreal Engine, CookieRun: New World promises to be the most ambitious game yet. It follows a new story set in the Cookie continent, where a mysterious darkness threatens the land, taking place after the legendary Five Heroes saga.
During a recent online showcase, Devsisters unveiled additional plans for the franchise:
CookieRun: Crumble (iOS, Android): This casual game is set to launch in late 2026. It combines idle RPG elements with a relaxing gameplay style, retaining the franchise’s charm.
CookieRun: Kingdom Chapter 2 (iOS, Android): The flagship RPG, played by over 80 million users, is entering a new story arc. This chapter features a pivotal event that splits the timeline, leading to a war among different factions. A new playable area will be added, and updates will now come every two weeks instead of four.
CookieRun: OvenSmash (iOS, Android): The franchise’s first real-time player-versus-player game is launching soon. Players will form teams of Cookies and engage in fast-paced matches. Pre-registration has already surpassed two million.
CookieRun: Braverse – A Game of Truth and Deceit (Tabletop Trading Card Game): This new set introduces 243 regular cards and 61 hidden variants, including characters from CookieRun: Kingdom. It’s expected to release on March 27 and has already seen nearly 80 million cards distributed since its debut in 2023.
