Get Ready! GTA 6 Marketing Launches This Summer: Take-Two Stands Firm on November Release Date – IGN

Grand Theft Auto VI is set to launch on November 19, 2026, and excitement is building. After facing several delays, Take-Two Interactive seems more optimistic than ever. They have even announced plans to kick off marketing for the game this summer.

Take-Two’s recent earnings report confirmed that the release date remains unchanged, which is great news after two previous delays. The report emphasized their confidence, stating, “Our execution throughout Fiscal 2026 has been extraordinary,” particularly with the GTA VI launch.

In an interview, CEO Strauss Zelnick expressed his confidence about the release date. He stated, “I feel good about it. Very good about it.” This is a shift from earlier statements he made before the delays, suggesting that they are now in a stronger position as they prepare for marketing.

GTA VI is highly anticipated and already being talked about as a Game of the Year contender, even though no gameplay footage has been released. So far, fans have seen two cinematic trailers highlighting protagonists Duval and Lucia Caminos and the game’s setting in Leonida, Florida, which includes the iconic Vice City.

Interestingly, even before GTA VI drops, the franchise itself is thriving. Take-Two reported a successful quarter, with earnings exceeding expectations. The GTA+ membership nearly doubled from the previous year, bolstered by updates like the Safehouse in the Hills for GTA Online. To date, GTA V has sold over 225 million copies, showing the franchise’s enduring popularity.

Looking ahead, Take-Two projects annual net bookings between $6.65 billion and $6.7 billion, a growth of around 18% year-over-year, largely driven by their mobile business, including Zynga.

With excitement surrounding GTA VI and impressive performance from the franchise, gamers and investors alike are eager to see what’s next.
