University of Houston Men’s Golf: All-American Intercollegiate Preview

The University of Houston’s Men’s Golf team is set to host the All-American Intercollegiate at the Golf Club of Houston on Monday. Teams will play on the 7,422-yard Tournament Course, while individuals will compete on the 7,508-yard Member Course, starting at 8 a.m.

Admission is free, and everyone is welcome to come and support the players. Teams will complete 36 holes on Monday, with the final round scheduled for Tuesday morning.

Last year, Houston clinched the team title, finishing at 20-under 844, nine strokes ahead of Troy. Jake Springer from Troy was the individual champion, scoring 7-under 209, just ahead of Houston’s Chi Chun Chen.

Houston’s roster includes senior Hudson Weibel, who leads the team with an impressive scoring average of 69.44. He’s had a strong season, winning three tournaments so far—the most by a Cougar in a single season since 2014. Chi Chun Chen follows, averaging 71.50 with standout rounds including a career-low 64 in September.

Among the individuals competing are Enrique Karg, Bryant Hiskey II, and several promising newcomers, including redshirt freshman Dominic Green, making his collegiate debut.
