Karen Ratzlaff, the food bank’s Chief Philanthropy Officer, expressed gratitude, saying, “It’s a collective effort from everybody at Giant.”

Jonathan Spears, a fresh sales manager at Giant, highlighted the company’s deep community involvement. “We do a lot,” he said. “From food bank donations to sponsoring Little League baseball teams, our support reaches many areas.” This anniversary donation aimed to underscore their commitment. The latest funds will support the Family BackPack program, which provides bags of nonperishable food to elementary students and families facing hunger. This program ensures children leave school with nutritious meals every weekend and during breaks, which is crucial for their well-being.
