Global Far-Right Leaders Unite: A Deep Dive into Trump’s Inauguration Guest List

Santiago Abascal, the leader of Spain’s Vox party, has been invited to a ceremony in Washington, D.C. He is there as the president of the European Patriots party, which includes members from 11 EU countries and has 86 MEPs in the European Parliament. André Ventura, head of Portugal’s Chega party, is also attending, along with other right-wing leaders from Europe.

Poland’s Prime Minister, Mateusz Morawiecki, confirmed his attendance on Tuesday. However, several notable figures were not invited, which offers insight into the political landscape.

Nigel Farage attending
Nigel Farage will attend, despite a recent disagreement with Elon Musk.

Ursula von der Leyen, president of the European Commission, did not receive an invitation, according to her spokesperson. In contrast, the EU ambassador to Washington, Jovita Neliupšienė, will be attending the event at the Capitol.

Marine Le Pen, a prominent French far-right leader, and her protégé Jordan Bardella also were left off the guest list. A party official confirmed their absence, possibly because they have not publicly shown strong support for the president-elect.

This gathering seems to favor those who have engaged positively with the new leadership. The event reflects ongoing political tensions and alliances across Europe and the United States.
