Grandpa Shorter’s Zucchini Bread Contest: Celebrating Winners While Supporting the Manna Food Project!

Grandpa Shorter’s Gifts recently held its very first Zucchini Bread Bake-Off on August 23. The event brought together bakers of all ages to showcase their talents in three fun categories: Classic, Creative Twist, and Kids (ages 14 and under).

A panel of local food enthusiasts evaluated the entries based on appearance, texture, flavor, and creativity. After much deliberation, the winners were announced: Jerra Jenny took home the prize for Classic, while Cindy Simpson won in the Creative Twist category. Each winner received $250 in gift certificates to Grandpa Shorter’s Gifts.

Every participant didn’t leave empty-handed either. Each received a $25 gift certificate, making the event even more special as it supported a great cause. All proceeds went to the Manna Food Project, a nonprofit dedicated to fighting hunger in Northern Michigan.
