India is showcasing a wide range of its defense and aerospace technologies at the Dubai Air Show, set for November 17-18. The Indian delegation, led by Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth, includes representatives from various government departments and the Armed Forces.
A key part of the event is a meeting between Minister Seth and his UAE counterpart to explore ways to boost defense cooperation. There will also be an industry roundtable with around 50 companies from India, the UAE, and other countries like the US and the UK, focusing on advanced defense technology and opportunities for manufacturing in India.
Minister Seth officially opened the India Pavilion, featuring displays from companies such as Hindustan Aeronautics Limited and DRDO. Nineteen Indian firms, including notable names like Bharat Forge and BrahMos, have independent stalls, while 15 startups are showcasing their innovations.
The Indian Air Force adds to the excitement with performances by the Suryakiran Aerobatic Team and exhibits of the indigenous LCA Tejas fighter.
The Dubai Air Show is one of the largest aerospace events globally, attracting over 1,500 exhibitors and around 148,000 industry professionals from 150 countries. It features major players like Airbus and Lockheed Martin.
This year’s show introduces evening events like “Party on the Runway” at Skydive Dubai and “Airshow After Dark,” which includes live entertainment and a drone show. The public can also enjoy a SkyView arena, complete with flight displays, meet-and-greet sessions with pilots, food trucks, and a new VIP area.
With the rising interest in aerospace innovation, this event serves as a platform for nations to collaborate on advanced technologies, emphasizing the growing importance of defense in global partnerships.
