Hanyang University will be part of CES 2026, the world’s largest consumer electronics show, happening this January in Las Vegas. Under Dean Lee Ki-jung, the university will showcase its tech innovations from faculty-led startups to a global audience.
CES is a major event for tech companies and investors to explore current and future technologies. Hanyang University will present a total of 12 groundbreaking technologies developed at its Seoul and ERICA campuses, focusing on areas where the school excels, like Artificial Intelligence (AI), Bio and Healthcare, and Advanced Materials.
A highlight of Hanyang’s exhibit will be “TeraFixell,” a joint development with EUTO Co., Ltd. This technology earned a CES 2026 Innovation Award in the Construction & Industrial Tech category, recognized for its innovation and market potential. This accolade emphasizes the competitiveness and success of Hanyang’s research-based technologies.
By participating in CES, the university aims to demonstrate how research can lead to startups and global market entry. Attendees can look forward to live demos, product exhibitions, and technology briefings designed for investors and buyers. Media Day is another key event where Hanyang will showcase its award-winning technologies to both domestic and international media.
According to a recent survey by the Consumer Technology Association, 75% of attendees visit CES to explore new products and share insights, underscoring the influence of these exhibitions in tech development.
With strong support from the Hanyang University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation, the university is committed to transforming research into international collaborations and commercialization opportunities. By spotlighting its innovations at CES, Hanyang aims to broaden its global presence and nurture a vibrant ecosystem connecting research and entrepreneurship.
