Harvard Baseball Faces Tough Loss to Michigan State: 13-3 Series Finale Highlights

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Senior George Cooper had a solid game, going 2-for-4 with a three-run double. Despite his efforts, Harvard University baseball lost to Michigan State University, 13-3, in the final game of their three-game series at Fluor Field on Sunday.

This loss marks the fifth game in a row against Big Ten opponents for Harvard (0-6), as they play through a tough stretch against top-tier teams. Michigan State (9-1) built a strong lead, scoring the first 12 runs in the game. Harvard finally made its mark with three runs in the fifth inning.

Cooper’s bases-clearing double came during the fifth, marking his first double of the season. Sophomore right-hander Will Burns stood out in relief, throwing 2.1 innings without giving up any runs or hits and striking out four batters.
