Harvard Field Hockey 2025 Season Preview
Harvard’s field hockey team is just ten days away from kicking off the 2025 season in California. The Crimson are starting strong, securing the second spot in the Ivy League’s preseason rankings with 118 points, just two points behind Princeton. Both teams received eight votes for first place. Over the past four matchups, Harvard has had the edge, winning three and having a goal difference of +4 since the start of the 2023 season. Brown and Yale follow in the rankings, coming in at third and fourth, respectively.
Last season was another highlight for Harvard. The team wrapped up 2024 with a notable record of 16-4 and made it to the NCAA Tournament Quarterfinals for the second year in a row. Since 2021, they’ve dominated Ivy League play, boasting an impressive 26-2 record during the regular season.
The Crimson will begin their 2025 journey against Stanford on Friday, September 5, at 9 PM Eastern Time. This matchup is anticipated, not just for the rivalry, but also for the chance to showcase Harvard’s skills in a new environment.
