Harvard Women’s Tennis Dominates UMass with a Stunning 5-0 Victory: A Powerful In-State Rivalry Win!


CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard women’s tennis team started its weekend strong by beating UMass 5-0 in an exciting match. With this win, Harvard improved its record to 6-7.

The day began with doubles play, where Harvard quickly took the lead by winning the doubles point. Holly Fischer and Stephanie Yakoff made a great debut as a team, winning their match 6-2. Meanwhile, the captain duo of Rachel Arbitman and Angel You kept their streak alive, winning their match 6-3.

In singles, Harvard continued to shine, winning all matches in straight sets. Fischer and Charlotte Owensby were particularly impressive, losing only three and four games, respectively, during their matches.

Sophomore Kate Kim had a notable moment, securing her first win of the season by defeating Amelia Tye 6-2, 6-2 at court four. Kavya Karra capped off the impressive performance by winning her match 6-0, 6-0, securing the final point for the Crimson.
