Exciting Times for Harvard Football
Harvard’s football team is buzzing with excitement! Ty Bartrum and Jaden Craig have both made the 2025 Phil Steele Preseason All-America Team. Bartrum, a standout defensive back, made the second team, while Craig, the talented quarterback, earned third-team honors.
Ty Bartrum’s Impressive Skills
Ty Bartrum hails from Pomeroy, Ohio. Last year, he proved himself as one of the best defenders in the Ivy League. He recorded 83 tackles, ranking third in the league and 40th in the nation. He had remarkable performances, such as 16 tackles against Dartmouth and 13 against Holy Cross, where he also returned a fumble for a touchdown. His solid year earned him a spot as one of three defensive finalists for the Bushnell Cup, awarded to the top players in the Ivy League.

Jaden Craig’s Stellar Performance
Quarterback Jaden Craig is poised for a big year. Coming from New Jersey, he is recognized as one of the top signal-callers in the FCS. Craig boasts an impressive touchdown-to-interception ratio of 7.67 and a TD percentage of 8.2. He was a finalist for the Water Payton Award last year, showcasing his skills on the field.
In 2024, Craig threw for 2,430 yards and 23 touchdowns, with only three interceptions. He had multiple touchdown games and ranked high in several statistical categories, making him a vital asset for the Crimson.

As summer camp approaches, Bartrum and Craig will return to a team fresh off winning the Ivy League Championship two years in a row. Last season, the Crimson ended with an 8-2 record and a national ranking of No. 25. Enthusiasm is high as fans await the first game against Stetson on September 20.
