Harvey Weinstein had a reaction to Adrien Brody’s heartfelt comment about Weinstein’s children during his speech at the 2025 Oscars. Brody, who won the best actor award for his role in The Brutalist, took a moment to thank his partner, Georgina Chapman, and mentioned her two children with Weinstein.

In his speech, Brody expressed his gratitude for Chapman and her kids, saying, “I share this with my amazing partner, Georgina, who has not only reinvigorated my own self-worth but my sense of value and my values. And her beautiful children, Dash and India, I know this has been a rollercoaster, but thank you for accepting me into your life, and Popsy’s coming home a winner!”

Weinstein, currently serving a 23-year sentence for sexual crimes, responded through his representative. They stated, “Harvey is happy for Georgina and grateful that his kids are being loved and cared for as they deserve.”

Weinstein is also awaiting a retrial for his overturned 2020 rape conviction. A new sexual assault charge is set to be included in the upcoming trial, currently scheduled for April 15. Weinstein has requested a sooner date, citing health issues and saying, “I won’t be there for April.” He expressed his desire for justice, stating, “I can’t hold on anymore. I’m holding on because I want justice for myself.”

In recent months, Weinstein has faced serious health problems, including a leukemia diagnosis, leading to multiple hospital visits. Following the divorce from Weinstein, Chapman was awarded primary custody of their children. She is now linked to Brody, and they made their first public appearance together at the Tribeca Film Festival in June 2021.

Brody’s win for The Brutalist marks his second Oscar, two decades after he won his first for The Pianist in 2003, making history as the youngest best actor winner at 29. His acceptance speech at this year’s Oscars turned out to be the longest ever recorded, lasting five minutes and 40 seconds, far exceeding the typical 45-second limit.
