CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The North Carolina men’s fencing team faced off against Notre Dame in the Atlantic Coast Conference Fencing Championship, ending with a score of 16-11. Despite the loss, they secured a solid 3-1 record during Saturday’s matches.
Men’s Team Highlights
The day began with a thrilling match against Duke. Freshman Cristian Porras clinched a nail-biting victory, bringing the score to 14-13. This win set the tone for the team.
Following that match, the team continued their momentum with strong performances, overpowering both Boston College and Stanford with scores of 17-10 each. This successful run earned them a shot at the championship title against Notre Dame.

Women’s Individual Championship
