Whitney Purvis faced a heartbreaking situation when she couldn’t attend her son Weston Gosa Jr.’s funeral. The tragedy hit home for her when she claimed that her ex-partner, Weston Gosa Sr., miscommunicated the time and left her off the guest list.

In her emotional Facebook post, Whitney said she arrived two hours late, believing the service started at 4 p.m. Instead, it began at 2 p.m. She stated that she and her family couldn’t enter, even after multiple attempts to prove she was supposed to be there. “It felt like I was being punished,” she expressed.

Weston Sr. had a different view. He insisted that he informed Whitney about the correct time and included her on the guest list. According to him, she arrived after the doors were already locked.

On top of this, Whitney claimed she never received her late son’s ashes despite agreeing to his cremation. She suggested that Weston Sr. used this as a way to control the situation and limit her connection to their son’s memory.

Weston Jr. passed away unexpectedly at the young age of 16, a tragedy that shocked both families. His cause of death was later listed as “natural causes.”
