A mother in Waco, Texas, received a severe sentence after her horrific abuse of her daughter came to light. Marianna Miles, 46, was sentenced to 70 years in prison for chaining her young daughter in a bedroom, beating her, and forcing her to scavenge for food.
The investigation began when Miles enrolled her stepdaughter at Connally Junior High School. She requested a meeting with school officials, expressing her concerns about the child’s alleged severe behavioral issues.
