Heartbroken Clifton Family Claims Their Beloved Dog Was Stolen After Food Delivery Incident

A family in Grand Junction, Colorado, is heartbroken after their beloved chihuahua, CanniB, went missing. The disappearance followed a food delivery made to their home on April 7. Trina Gallegos and Jordan Silva shared how their daughter put CanniB outside while she ate, but when the other daughter returned home, she found a note on the door.

The note stated, “I have your dog; I was worried he would get hit. I knocked, but no answer.” It also included a phone number, which the family tried to call, but it was out of service. This unexpected turn of events has left the family in distress. Silva expressed how challenging it has been without CanniB, stating, “It’s been hard without my dog. I just want him home.”

Since CanniB went missing, the family has been actively searching for him. Silva has been driving around the community daily, hoping to spot their furry friend. Their main goal is simple: to bring CanniB back home safely. Gallegos emphasized they’re not looking to press charges; they just want their pet returned.

The situation raises questions about understanding and communication. Could this have been a misunderstanding? Silva feels uncertain but remains hopeful.

The Mesa County Sheriff’s Office is aware of the case. However, they’ve shared that they cannot provide more details since it is still under investigation. This story offers a glimpse into the strong bond between pets and their families. In fact, a survey from the American Pet Products Association shows that 67% of U.S. households, or about 85 million families, own a pet, highlighting just how integral pets are to our lives.

As they continue their search, the family’s story underscores the emotional toll of losing a pet and the lengths people will go to reunite with their loved ones. In today’s digital age, many pet owners also turn to social media to seek help and spread the word. As of late, there has been a growing trend of using platforms like Facebook and Instagram to post missing pet cases, allowing communities to rally together in support.

While the search for CanniB continues, this family is hoping for a happy ending. Time will tell if they will be reunited, but their devotion is a powerful reminder of the love we share with our pets.
