A Denver woman faces serious charges after a shooting incident over the weekend at an entertainment venue in Highlands Ranch. Nevaeha Crowley-Sanders, 23, is being held on a $1 million bond. The incident took place late Saturday night at Main Event, a venue known for bowling and family-friendly games.
Crowley-Sanders is charged with attempted murder and assault. According to arrest documents, she and the victim, who were acquaintances, got into a fight in a bathroom. During the altercation, Crowley-Sanders shot the victim eight times. Thankfully, the victim survived the attack.
After the shooting, an encounter in the parking lot escalated. Deputies shot a man who allegedly refused to drop a gun he was carrying. Authorities are still investigating if there’s a connection between the two shootings.
District Attorney George Brauchler emphasized the importance of waiting for a thorough investigation before jumping to conclusions about the situation in the parking lot. Meanwhile, the deputy who fired the shots is currently on administrative leave.
