He makes history as the first player in MLS to achieve over 35 goal contributions in two consecutive seasons. He now shares third place for the most goal contributions in a single MLS season alongside stars Josef Martinez and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, just behind Carlos Vela, who has 49.

Following a rough patch that included a 3-0 loss against Charlotte FC, Inter Miami bounced back with three consecutive victories, defeating the Seattle Sounders, D.C. United, and New York City. Messi’s current hot streak includes five goals and three assists in these last three matches. This performance puts him in the running for another Landon Donovan MLS MVP award. His eight multi-goal games this season tie him for the most in MLS history.
