“Democrats are asking taxpayers to pay more to insurance companies, while we are trying to tackle the real issues driving health care costs,” said House Speaker Mike Johnson from Louisiana.
Despite these efforts, it remains uncertain whether the plan has enough backing to pass the House vote, which is scheduled for Tuesday.
