A woman from Washington, Shannon Fernandez, recently won a stunning $250,000 from the lottery, thanks to her love for a reality TV show.

Shannon is a big fan of HGTV’s My Lottery Dream Home. She noticed that many winners featured on the show played $10 scratch-off tickets. Inspired by their success, she decided to try her luck with a new $10 ticket that caught her eye.
One day, she bought a couple of Diamond Crossword tickets from a lottery vending machine at Walmart in Spokane. At first, she thought she won $1,000 after counting ten complete words. Excited, she called her husband to share the good news and planned to celebrate with a nice dinner later that evening.
However, when a clerk at Safeway scanned her ticket, it revealed an even bigger surprise. Shannon had actually won $250,000, not just $1,000. She didn’t realize the true amount until she checked the ticket again at a different store. “I nearly fainted when I saw that it said $250,000 on it,” she recalled.
Now, with this life-changing amount, Shannon and her husband can finally purchase their dream home, a goal they had been working towards for some time.
