“There are more factors to consider, like choosing between cloud and on-premises solutions, which can be hard and costly,” said Kevin Joyce, zero friction officer at TAG Video Systems. It’s essential for vendors to create solutions that meet broadcasters’ need for multi-platform capabilities.

The Future for Media Companies

Moving toward integrated production environments isn’t optional anymore; it’s necessary. Media firms are on the lookout for solutions that can deliver content seamlessly to all platforms while staying flexible for future demands.

Customized systems are quickly fading as standardized solutions rise. “Broadcasters are now searching for modern setups that simplify workflows and increase efficiency. Off-the-shelf, multi-tenant SaaS products are becoming vital,” stated Finegold.

Today’s infrastructure decisions focus on balancing needs with budgets. “Innovation in content delivery is all about allowing broadcasters to use the best infrastructure for their needs while keeping costs down,” noted Neil Maycock, CCO at Pebble. A common playout solution that works across various systems is crucial for operational flexibility and efficiency.

This evolution also affects how content is created, with tools needing to adapt to different formats quickly. “Flexible workflows are essential to meet these evolving demands,” mentioned Bob Caniglia, director of sales operations at Blackmagic Design.

The industry still faces challenges in developing cohesive multi-platform solutions that maintain efficiency. “With so many factors to juggle, creating a seamless solution is vital,” Joyce concluded.
