Three young men in Akola have been accused of robbing a 73-year-old man to maintain a flashy image on social media. The incident occurred late one night when the elderly victim, Thakurdas Nagwani, was riding his motorcycle. Two assailants snatched his bag, which held ₹13,500 in cash, eight US $100 bills, and important documents.

Their motivations? A desire to appear wealthy online. Despite coming from middle-class backgrounds, the suspects were reportedly keen on projecting an affluent lifestyle. They dressed in expensive brands, with some clothing items costing around ₹1,000 each, and wore shoes priced between ₹5,000 to ₹10,000. Their social media posts showed them cruising around on stylish bikes with companions, pretending to live a lavish life.

The police acted quickly. Within 24 hours, they arrested the trio. Based on CCTV footage and tips from the public, they caught Manoj Ludere (20), Rohit Ingole (19), and Ansh Patekar (20). The police recovered the stolen cash and motorcycles, amounting to a total value of ₹1.83 lakh.
