To reduce black smoke emissions, a mobile court in Bijoynagar, Dhaka, fined drivers of four vehicles Taka 5,000. Another court in Jigatola imposed a similar fine for violating air pollution regulations.

In a crackdown on banned polythene bags, two mobile courts in Shyamoli and Gopalganj fined one business Taka 5,000 and confiscated 45 kilograms of polythene.
