How This Woman Lost 33 kg: 13 Essential Tips for Shedding Tummy, Hip, and Thigh Fat Sustainably!

Losing weight, especially around the tummy, hips, and thighs, can feel tough. But it is possible! With healthy eating, regular exercise, and smart lifestyle choices, you can get there. Nidhi Gupta, an online fitness coach, lost 33 kg and has some great tips to help you start your journey.

In her recent Instagram post, she shared inspiring before-and-after photos along with advice for achieving your weight loss goals. Nidhi emphasizes that while spot reduction isn’t possible, staying committed to a healthy lifestyle is key. Remember to celebrate even the small wins along the way!

Here’s Nidhi’s Advice:

  • Focus on whole, natural foods. Include lean proteins, fresh vegetables, fruits, and low-fat dairy.
  • To lose weight safely, aim for 1-2 pounds a week by creating a daily calorie deficit of 500-1000 calories.
  • Start moving more; incorporate physical activities daily.
  • Reduce your intake of added sugars and salty foods.
  • Women should consume at least 1200 calories a day, while men should have a minimum of 1800 calories.
  • When serving meals, fill half your plate with salad, a quarter with whole grains, and the last quarter with protein.
  • Try to add 15-20 minutes of walking in the morning and evening.

Nidhi’s Workout Routine:

  • Engage in 50 minutes of strength training 3 times a week.
  • Include 2 days of cardio workouts.
  • On 2 other days, opt for lighter activities like climbing stairs and walking to hit a goal of 10,000 steps.

Nidhi suggests prioritizing home-cooked meals and sticking to clean eating, even when dining out. Avoid seeking quick fixes. Understand that you can’t control from where your body loses fat; it varies from person to person based on genetics and body type. When you create a calorie deficit, your body taps into stored fat for energy. For women, pregnancy often results in more fat stored in the hips. If your waist measurement is over 35 inches for women or 40 inches for men, you could have excess visceral fat, which can increase health risks.

Ultimately, commit to a healthier lifestyle. Don’t fall for shortcuts. It takes time and dedication to see lasting results.
